Getting the cafe up and running is entirely a numbers game. Historically, Belisily Cafe has been a diverse melting pot, welcoming families from households of varying income brackets reflecting the wide spectrum of residents across Letchworth and the surrounding villages. With that in mind, we’ve tried to forecast not only based on the price of doing business but also value and affordability for the customer… but without divine guidance and a crystal ball how do we know for sure the maths is good?
I often wish I had a crystal ball… so I’ve been looking towards the next best thing… how much do you know about angel numbers? The wisdom of Numerology? I confess I am new to the study, but I am fascinated. So here are some numbers for you:
58
The number 58 is the street number of Belisily Cafe. 58 is considered an angel number – often acting as a sign to trust in divine timing for success. It certainly was an opportune moment or perhaps Kismet that as Dena had decided that she was ready to take her leave from the cafe I found myself ready to take the leap, and so serendipitous was this timing that our plans were perhaps meant to be, let us hope for success to follow!
1936
Mathematically speaking, 1936 is considered rare as it is a perfect square but in numerology it is something else! It’s a sign to shift your focus to family and creativity. Why does this particular number matter right now? Well, it’s a number we found under the signage when we took it down this week. Hidden under the boards was another sign from a previous incarnation of the old cafe building, when it was a furniture shop – “Martins” – they are actually still going strong a few doors down from us. It reads “Est. 1936”. Here lay a message that this is and always has been the place for nurturing our families as well as our spark, and to remind us of our task… to create a space to inspire that.
7
The number 7 is often considered a lucky number, reflected often in our daily lives: 7 days of the week, 7 stars in the sky, 7 colours of the rainbow! For me, the 7th year I am walking into as Auntie Kitty, bringing you the Rainbow Cafe, in my rainbow world. In numerology, 3 represents the spirit and 4 represents the physical world which makes the rainbow a beautiful and perfect “bridge” between Heaven and Earth. Are we saying that the Rainbow Cafe is really going to take you to heavenly places? I’d like to think so, but the question is not where… but when!
Well… it’s been a long time coming I know, but in 7 days time… the cafe will open for business.
Which brings me to my last number:
9
The number of rebirth. A closed circle indicating a previous era with a new circle beginning from the old. This number for me represents the cafe closure to its rebirth, and the rebirth you’ve been promised is close to fulfilment. The long-awaited changes we have been making are finally coming full circle and we are finishing off the last few touches, dusting down the toys and practising our latte art ready to welcome you all back.
I am pleased to FINALLY announce the first official opening day of the new Belisily 3.0 – The Rainbow Cafe – will be on Monday 9th March!
So with a leap of faith in the numbers, put it in your diaries ladies and gentlemen: MONDAY 9TH MARCH, 8AM.
